Neck-Lift

Many patients complain of the appearance of excess skin and muscle bands at their neck.

Some describe this appearance as a turkey neck, although in others the shape of the neck lacks definition.

Method

Starting in front of the earlobe, your specialist facial surgeon leads the incision via the crease behind the ear into the hair baring skin. Through this approach the skin and muscles are tightened, and excess skin is removed.

Sometimes, vertically visible muscle bands, can be lessened via an incision directly below your chin.

The improvement of your appearance will mainly show below your chin and in the middle of your neck.

Procedure

Duration of operation: 2-3 hours
Anesthetic: usually general anaesthetic
Hospital stay: 1 or 2 overnight stays
Removal of sutures: 6-12 days postop
Ok to go out: 2 weeks postop
